Italian-born Michele Maggi is the visionary of e-Motion Hybrid Systems. Born into the marine diesel engine business, his grandfather founded in the 1930s "Italmotor", the Italian distributor of MTU engines . Son Luciano took over in 1960s, and then his grandson Michele became the CEO in the 1980s, selling an impressive 15,000 engines.In 2006, Maggi teamed up with the Ferretti Group and pioneered the first hybrid yacht- The Mochi 23 mt. Long-Range. Michele's fascination with electric propulsion was intense, and he relentlessly continued R&D through the following years, and in 2018, founded e-Motion Hybrid Systems.
