Built over twenty years ago as the private retreat to one of Guatemala’s most prominent sporting families, the newly renovated Casa Vieja Lodge is sure to delight guests who have angled all over the world. Family owned and operated by Kristen and Capt. David Salazar since 2013, yet Capt. David started in Guatemala 1998 with Tim Choate, as one of the original captains of Fins ‘N Feathers.

Sailfish. Marlin. Our fleet averages more than 15 releases per boat, per day. But we’ve seen as many as 124 releases in a day from a single boat. Casa Vieja Lodge anglers have released 57 sailfish on fly (a single day world record!) and 300 sailfish in 3 days of fishing on the same game boat. There’s no other area on Earth with this many big fish, and no other lodge that can find them the way we can.
